Visitors can also take a scenic road trip from Gangtok to Baba Mandir and enjoy the breath taking views along the way.

 

Permits Required

As Baba Mandir is located in close proximity to the China-India border, it is considered a sensitive area. Visitors to the temple must obtain an Inner Line Permit from the Sikkim Tourism Department to visit the area. Yes Tourism India will assist with the permit which is issued daily from Sikkim Tourism Department. Visitors are advised to carry their original identity proofs and passport-sized photographs for obtaining the permit.

Baba Mandir experiences a cool and pleasant climate throughout the year. During the months of April to June, the temperature ranges between 15°C to 20°C and the weather is pleasant, making it ideal for visitors. During the monsoon months of July to September, the weather is unpredictable and visitors are advised to carry rain gear. From October to March, the temperature drops to below 5°C and visitors are advised to carry warm clothes.
